During 2007, my office registered well over 2000 new cases from local people wanting my help with their problems – an increase of over 25% compared to the previous year. The most common subjects were health, environmental issues, animal welfare, transport, education, financial issues (taxation, benefits, pensions and CSA), complaints about councils, housing, international issues, anti-social behaviour and neighbour disputes.
